Best VPS for NinjaTrader 8 in 2026: 7 Providers Ranked by What NinjaTrader Needs

Most “best NinjaTrader VPS” lists rank on the cheapest plan. That is the wrong plan to compare, because the cheapest plan at most providers does not meet what NinjaTrader itself recommends.

NinjaTrader 8’s published requirements are a 1 GHz 64-bit processor and 2GB of RAM as the minimum, and a 2 GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM and an SSD as recommended. It needs Windows 11 or Windows Server 2016 or later, and .NET Framework 4.8.

So this comparison ranks seven providers on a different question: what does it cost to get the recommended 8GB, and what do you get with it? All figures were read from each provider’s own website in October 2026.

ChartVPS is not in the table because its 8GB tier price was not clear on the pages we read. Its entry plan is $50 a month for 2 cores and 4GB on Windows Server 2025, and it calls that plan “the starting point for most NinjaTrader workspaces”.

1. TradingFXVPS: 8GB Is the Entry Plan

TradingFXVPS is the only provider here whose cheapest futures plan already meets the recommended memory: $59 a month for 4 Ryzen 9 9950X cores and 8GB of DDR5. It hosts in Chicago, is a listed NinjaTrader Ecosystem vendor, and has a $3.99 trial for 7 days.

Best for: getting to the recommended specification without working out which tier you need.

2. TradingVPS.io: Most Memory for the Money

At the same $59, TradingVPS.io gives 4 cores and 16GB of RAM with 300GB of NVMe storage. That is double the memory of anything else at this price, which matters if you run tick replay, large historical lookbacks or several workspaces. A short free trial is available on request.

Backups are not mentioned on its site, so plan to export your workspaces and templates yourself.

Best for: heavy workspaces and anyone running more than one NinjaTrader instance.

3. QuantVPS: Preinstalled and Close to the Exchange

QuantVPS will install NinjaTrader 8 for you if you select it at checkout, on Windows Server 2022, and it advertises 0.52 ms to CME from Chicago. Its Lite plan at $59.99 has 4 cores and 8GB, and the pricing page itself gives “NinjaTrader with two automated strategies” as the example for that tier. There is a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Automatic backups are only on the ”+” plans, which cost more.

Best for: traders who want to log in and find NinjaTrader already there.

4. FXVPS: Cheapest Way to Find Out What You Need

Our 8GB plan is $79 a month with 4 vCPU, hosted in Chicago at 1 to 2 ms, which is more than the three providers above charge for the same memory.

Where we are most useful is before you know what you need. The $2.99 trial lets you install NinjaTrader, connect your real data feed, load your real workspace and watch Task Manager through a market open. Many traders find the $39 plan (2 vCPU, 4GB) is enough for one account with a handful of charts, and that costs less than any 8GB plan here. We will also tell you plainly if it is not enough: NinjaTrader on our $29 plan with 2GB is tight before you have opened a chart, and we would rather say so than sell it to you.

NinjaTrader is not preinstalled on our public plans. The prerequisites are in place and installing it takes a few minutes. Our NinjaTrader 8 VPS setup guide walks through it.

Best for: sizing your setup for $2.99, and single-account traders who only need 4GB.

5. ForexVPS.net: Six Cores and a Refund Window

ForexVPS.net’s Prime plan gives 6 vCPU and 8GB with 200GB of storage for $80, with a 14-day money-back guarantee and 24/7 live chat. It lets you choose Windows Server 2019, 2022 or 2025. Chicago is one of its 22 locations, but it is a forex-first provider and publishes no CME latency figure.

Best for: traders who also run MetaTrader and want one provider.

6. NinjaMobileTrader: Prop-Firm Specialists

NinjaMobileTrader’s recommended Medium plan is $89 for 3 cores and 8GB in downtown Chicago, with a stated latency of under 1 ms to CME, Tradovate and Rithmic. It lists the prop firms it is used with and offers Windows Server 2022, with 2016 or 2019 on request. There is no standard trial.

Best for: prop-firm traders who value a provider focused on that audience.

7. Speedy Trading Servers: Free Week, Expensive Memory

Speedy Trading Servers ships with NinjaTrader installed and offers a free one-week trial, which is the best trial here. Its pricing is the least competitive for memory: 8GB costs $160 a month, and the $60 entry plan has 1.5GB, below NinjaTrader’s 2GB minimum.

Best for: a free week on a preinstalled machine to see whether a VPS suits you at all.

What to Check Before You Pay

Memory, measured on your own workspace. The number of charts, the indicators on them and tick replay drive memory use far more than the platform does. A trial with your real workspace tells you more than any specification table.

Your data route. NinjaTrader connects to a Rithmic or CQG gateway, or to NinjaTrader’s own servers, before your order reaches the exchange. Ask the provider for latency to that gateway. Our article on Rithmic and CQG data feeds explains the difference.

Backups. Workspaces, templates and strategy settings take hours to rebuild. Check whether backups are included on the plan you are buying, not just on the provider’s top tier.

Licence and connection limits. A NinjaTrader licence key and most data feeds allow a limited number of simultaneous connections. Moving to a VPS means logging out at home.

Prop-firm rules. If you trade funded accounts, read the firm’s rules on VPS use, shared IP addresses and automation. Our guide to multiple prop-firm accounts on one VPS covers the common ones.

How We Compiled This

Prices and specifications were read from each provider’s own pricing pages in October 2026, and NinjaTrader’s requirements from its published help guide. Latency figures are the providers’ own claims and were not tested by us. Prices change, so confirm on the provider’s site. If a figure here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
