You only control the first leg of the path
- check_circle Rithmic is the layer your fills actually pass through, whatever platform sits on top. Your round trip is your machine to the Rithmic gateway, then the gateway to the exchange. Only the first leg is yours to improve, and that is exactly the leg a home connection loses on.
- check_circle A home connection adds 15 to 20 network hops and a consumer router before the path even leaves your street. A datacenter machine is a handful of hops onto a carrier backbone.
