Axiory is one of the few retail brokers that gives you all three major desktop platforms under one roof: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader. That makes it a natural home for traders who have EAs in MQL4, newer systems in MQL5, and cBots in C#, and who would rather not spread them across three brokers.
It also makes the VPS question a bit more interesting than usual. Axiory has put its trading servers in Equinix datacenters for years. It announced an MT4 server in London’s LD4 back in 2016, and review coverage since then describes infrastructure in Equinix London and Tokyo, with New York also cited. A broker with several platforms and several sites does not necessarily run every platform in every site. So the VPS decision starts with one question: which platform, on which server?
Axiory at a Glance
- Regulation: Axiory Global Limited is authorised by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Belize. A Mauritius entity, Tradit Limited, is authorised by the FSC of Mauritius. Both are offshore licences, so check which entity your account agreement names and what protections come with it.
- Platforms: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, on desktop, web and mobile
- Instruments: Forex, metals, energies, indices and share CFDs. The exact lineup varies by platform and account type.
- Server Infrastructure: Equinix datacenters. London LD4 is documented for MT4, and London, Tokyo and New York are cited in reviews.
- Algorithmic Trading: EAs on MT4/MT5 and cBots on cTrader
- Liquidity: Axiory’s 2016 LD4 announcement described the MT4 server as cross-connected to its main liquidity pool, also colocated in Equinix
📊 Key Stat: When Axiory moved an MT4 server into Equinix LD4, the stated reason was a cross-connect to its main liquidity pool in the same Equinix campus. A cross-connect is a physical cable inside the building, and it is the shortest path an order can take. A VPS in the same campus puts your terminal on the same side of that path.
Where Axiory’s Servers Live
London (Equinix LD4) is the best-documented location. Axiory set up a MetaTrader 4 server there in mid-2016, cross-connected to its liquidity pool. London is also where the deepest FX liquidity physically connects, so for most currency pairs it is where execution naturally happens.
Tokyo (Equinix TY3) is cited in reviews as a second colocation hub. Tokyo is Asia’s main FX interconnection centre, which makes it the logical second hub for serving clients in the region.
New York is also mentioned in some coverage. Axiory publishes less detail about it than about London.
What is not published is a server-by-server map. A given MT4, MT5 or cTrader server for a given account type could sit in any of these sites, and brokers move servers over time. So don’t assume. Measure it.
⚠️ Warning: Do not assume your MT5 or cTrader account uses the same datacenter as the MT4 server in Axiory’s 2016 announcement. Different platforms are separate server stacks. Resolve the specific server your terminal connects to and traceroute it. Our broker server IP guide shows how for MetaTrader. For cTrader, the latency figure is shown in the platform itself.
FXVPS Latency to Axiory
FXVPS runs dedicated infrastructure in London, Tokyo, New York and Hong Kong, among 15+ locations. That covers every region Axiory is reported to use.
- London VPS → LD4-hosted server: low single-digit milliseconds round trip, with the traffic staying inside the Equinix London interconnection fabric.
- Tokyo VPS → TY3-hosted server: the same pattern within the Tokyo campus.
- The wrong pairing (a London VPS talking to a Tokyo server, or the reverse) adds a long-haul round trip. That costs a couple of hundred milliseconds, far more than any hardware difference between VPS providers.
That last point is why the region choice matters more for Axiory than for a single-site broker. With a single-site broker, any VPS near the site is correct. With a multi-site broker, the right answer depends on the server your account is on.
Why Axiory Traders Specifically Need a VPS
Three Platforms, Three Automation Stacks
Axiory’s appeal to algorithmic traders is platform choice. You can run a legacy MQL4 EA, an MQL5 system and a cTrader cBot side by side. At home that means one PC running three platforms 24/7, open to every Windows update, power cut and router reset. On a VPS it means three terminals on an always-on machine in a datacenter, each restarting automatically if the machine does. Our MT5 vs cTrader on a VPS comparison covers how the two modern platforms differ in resource use.
cBots Need the Platform Running
cTrader cBots run inside the cTrader desktop application on your machine. Close the app or shut down the PC and the cBot stops, exactly like an EA in MetaTrader. If your strategy is a cBot, the VPS case is the same as for EAs. Our cTrader on VPS guide walks through the setup.
Getting the Region Right Is Worth More Than the Hardware
For most brokers, a VPS mostly buys uptime, and latency is a bonus. For a broker with servers on two continents, a VPS in the wrong region can leave you worse off than a well-located home connection. A deliberate, measured region choice is the main value here.
💡 Tip: If you trade from Asia and your Axiory server turns out to be in London, don’t move the VPS closer to you. Keep the VPS next to the server. Your RDP session to London will feel a little slower, but that affects only your screen, not your orders. See trading from a high-latency region.

Recommended FXVPS Plan for Axiory
Core Plan ($29/mo, 2GB RAM, 1 vCPU) handles a single platform, whether one MT4, MT5 or cTrader terminal with a few EAs or cBots. It is a good starting point if you use one Axiory platform.
Pro Plan ($39/mo, 4GB RAM, 2 vCPUs) is the right size for traders who run two of Axiory’s platforms side by side, such as MT4 plus cTrader. cTrader in particular uses more memory than MT4, and the second vCPU keeps the platforms from competing.
Scaling Plan ($79/mo, 8GB RAM, 4 vCPUs) fits traders running all three platforms, multiple accounts, or optimisation work on the same machine.

Setting Up Axiory on Your FXVPS
-
Pick a starting region. London is the best-documented Axiory location and a sensible default. If you already know your server is in Tokyo, start there.
-
Connect via RDP with the credentials in your FXVPS welcome email.
-
Install your platforms from Axiory’s own download links so the server lists come preconfigured. Install only the platforms you actually use.
-
Log in with the account number and exact server name from your Axiory client area. MT4, MT5 and cTrader accounts each have their own server.
-
Measure each platform separately. In MetaTrader, check the connection indicator and the server list pings. In cTrader, check the latency figure the platform displays. If one platform shows low single digits and another shows 200ms+, those accounts are in different regions.
-
Decide on the split. If your accounts live in two regions and you trade both actively, two smaller VPSs, one in each region, beat one larger VPS in the wrong place for half your trading.
-
Configure auto-start and AutoTrading. Put every platform in the Windows Startup folder, enable AutoTrading in MetaTrader and set cBots to start with cTrader, so everything resumes after a reboot. Our MT4 automatic startup guide covers the MetaTrader side.
✅ Best Practice: Record each platform’s server name, measured latency and the date you tested. Rerun the check after any Axiory maintenance notice. Server migrations change latency with no other visible sign.
Why FXVPS for Axiory Traders
Axiory gives you three platforms and a multi-region infrastructure. FXVPS matches that with London, Tokyo and New York locations, so you can put a VPS next to whichever server your account is on rather than settling for “close enough.” Dedicated CPU cores keep MT4, MT5 and cTrader from starving each other, and 24/7 uptime keeps EAs and cBots running while you sleep.
Measure first on a $2.99 trial, then choose the plan that fits at /pricing/.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which VPS location is best for Axiory?
London is the best-documented Axiory location and the right default. Axiory is also reported to use Tokyo, so confirm by measuring latency to your specific server before settling on a region.
Do Axiory’s MT4, MT5 and cTrader servers share one datacenter?
Not necessarily. They are separate server stacks, and Axiory does not publish a per-platform map. Measure each platform from the VPS.
Can I run cTrader cBots on an FXVPS?
Yes. FXVPS runs Windows Server, which runs the cTrader desktop app natively. cBots run exactly as they do on a home PC, but with 24/7 uptime.
Is one VPS enough if I use all three Axiory platforms?
Yes, if all your servers are in the same region. The Scaling plan comfortably runs all three. If your accounts are split across London and Tokyo, two VPSs, one in each region, give better execution than one.
Does a VPS change Axiory’s spreads or commissions?
No. Pricing is set by Axiory and your account type. A VPS reduces network latency and slippage and keeps your platforms online around the clock.
