An index CFD is a derivative of a derivative. Your broker quotes US30 by tracking the E-mini Dow futures on the CME, adjusting for financing, and adding a spread. NAS100 tracks E-mini Nasdaq futures. GER40 tracks the DAX future on Eurex. The chain matters because everything that happens to the underlying future happens to your CFD.
That produces four behaviours you do not get in spot FX:
Session breaks. The underlying futures have a daily maintenance halt. During that window your broker’s index quote either freezes or widens dramatically. An EA that reads price during a halt is reading a stale or artificial number.

Quarterly rollover. Index futures expire quarterly. Brokers roll their CFD from the expiring contract to the next one, and because the two contracts trade at different prices, the roll produces a price adjustment. Your chart shows a gap that was never a market move.
Weekend gaps that actually gap. FX opens on Sunday close to where it closed on Friday, most of the time. Indices routinely open meaningfully away from Friday’s close, because two days of news get priced in at once.

What you influence is the second leg — your terminal to your broker’s server. So the question is still “where is my broker’s server”, and the answer for most retail CFD brokers is London.

Where Latency Actually Pays on Indices
Be precise about this, because index CFD spreads are wide enough that latency is not always the binding constraint.
It pays at the open. The first minutes of the cash session are when index prices move fastest. An order placed into that with 200ms of transit is an order placed into a price that no longer exists. Multi-instrument monitoring. Index traders rarely watch one index. A typical setup has US30, NAS100, SPX500 and GER40 open simultaneously, often across several timeframes, frequently with volume or order-flow indicators attached.

Index CFDs gap over the weekend far more reliably than FX does, and it is worth planning for rather than discovering.
If you hold an index position over the weekend, your stop is not a guarantee. A stop at 38,000 on US30 does not protect you if the market reopens at 37,600 — it becomes a market order at the first available price. Guaranteed stops, where a broker offers them, cost a premium for exactly this reason.
